McDuff, you might be like Kronk and not view a car as essential, I would in CO. All of the intangibles that make Colorado a badass place to be (camping, fishing, hiking, climbing, skiing, hunting, and the awesome brew pub scene) really aren't workable without a car. You may disagree, but different strokes.
I'd agree with previous poasters that this all depends on what you want to do. If you're set on private practice I'd feel worried coming out of CU given that there are only 50 or so SA slots in Denver. Targeting Denver firms means you're liable to strike out, no matter where you come from.
