Ok, this is at the hypothetical stage right now but here's the question because f I do receive the go ahead for both I'm sure I need to make a decision fast. The integrated 3 year JD/MBA at Penn/Wharton, in at both right now, or in at Chicago JD and applying next fall for the MBA program at Booth. I know people don't know MBAs here quite as much, but would appreciate input.

-want to work in biglaw finance immediately afterwards, Chicago or NY
-eventually want to do low-income finance/politics

Penn, obviously. Less years, Wharton name, Wharton connections.

Definitely the shorter program. You're not even in at Booth yet.

Let's see: go to one of the best business schools in the world, or reject it and hope you get accepted to a lesser school next year.

If you're really so dumb you can't figure this out, you wouldn't have gotten in

Law School: Chicago>Penn

Business School: Wharton>>>>>>>>Booth

Being in at both JD/MBA>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Only being in at JD

Penn has fantastic join degree opportunities, perhaps one of the best in the country. The opportunity to drop the Wharton name is just irreplaceable. Booth is the weak link here, relatively speaking.

Wharton is in the same tier as Booth, but its Wharton (kind of like choosing between Y or S).

Chicago is a more national law school than Penn.

I personally would go to Wharton, but if you want law, Chicago would be better.

No question that Penn is far and away the better choice here.

The real question is: Why did you have to ask?
