Are you financing your living expenses while in school?

American, I suppose if the total COA is only 75K. Retake and reapply is a better answer.

Just know that you're going to be competing with bros from better schools in a hyper competitive region.

I appreciate all advice.

I think a retake is the right answer. That's not a bad price for American but it's just way too expensive for such a mediocre school. I'd go to Drexel if I had to choose but their such a new school I'm not sure it's a great idea. Did you get into the university of Maryland with in state?

Did not get into MD.

Have no desire to retake.

Pretty sure I need to maintain a 3.0 at Drexel, not sure about American off the top of my head but I think it's similar.

That is a terrible stip given that the median is probably much lower than 3.0. I could only find info that said the mean GPA was a 2.8-3.0 (always very misleading when they use mean), so you need to find 2 pieces of info.

1) From Drexel, where does a 3.0 stand on the curve? How many students keep their scholarships?

2) From current students, does the school section-stack, i.e. stick all their scholarship students in one section?

If you go to Drexel you need to be prepared to drop out if you lose that scholly.

It appears as if American curves to a 3.45, so you probably won't lose the scholly. Should check with current American students though.

Assuming most students have above a 3.0 and keep their scholarships, what is your recommendation?

That's a huge assumption. Especially when the lower schools will often curve to a 2.8 or so. 3.0 might be top third.
