Penn places amazingly well into NYC. That said, Fordham isn't bad, and if it were free I'd push for there. How easily can you guys resettle into Philly?

My goal is biglaw NYC. Also thrown into the equation is that me and my wife are both from New York we already have an apt here and are settled. Still right now it looks like penn is the best choice. Any thoughts ?

Penn for sure. The difference in NYC biglaw placement is well worth the extra money.

Keep in mind that if you're really attached to New York, you can always take the train into school. I wouldn't personally recommend it, but some of my successfully managed to do so.

Like, I said, I wouldn't recommend it. Especially since you can save a boatload in COL by living in Philly. Just pointing out the possibility.

You gain a massive advantage by going to Penn. It'll be a much better experience for you, educationally and with regard to your career. Fordham is a have/have not type of school. You might be unemployed 3L year sitting next to someone with grades only slightly better than yours who has a job at Davis Polk. That's the way it is, and it sucks terribly.

I assume those costs are tuition only.
What's the full cost of attendance?

There are circumstances where it can be argued that UPenn isn't worth $75k more than Fordham, but you don't indicate anything that can support that conclusion (and probably would have mentioned those factors)
However, if your COL is significantly lower (eg your wife has a good job, or you own your apartment), the COA difference might be significantly more, making this less cut and dry.
