Chimp, what an imbecile you are - real chimps behave better.

I pity you, you must be so frustrated that you made the wrong choices in life - and now you want to hurt others and swear and curse your way through life.

I hope the others look at your various posts over the past year - when you were a frightened little applicant - and see you for what you are.

Some adviser you are, with your law application failures and not quite stellar grades - as you stated on TLS:

"Low 160s LSAT, ~3.6 GPA, Non-URM Hispanic

I highly doubt I have a chance, but I've seen stranger things happen
"

(BTW when did a Hispanic stop qualifying as a minority in our US of A?)

Look after yourself, "chimp" and let the others get on with their applications and go where they want to.
Try your best to express yourself using English - not swear words and infantile images, as you did in your response to our questions.

May you be forgiven and perhaps mature soon.

He's right OP. You've basically ignored every single person who has told you anything other than what you've wanted to hear. Just because we don't spoonfeed you idiotic advice, you imply don't genuinely care or want to help? Get out with that nonsense. I've been trying to genuinely help you throughout the thread. And then you say that me (and others) not listing our LSAT/GPA has anything to do with the quality of our advice? Whaaaaa.... With logic like that, I'm not surprised at your LSAT performance.

Oh, and not all Hispanics are considered URMs for the purposes of law school admissions. If you don't have a clue what you're talking about, just shut up before you make a fool of yourself.

Good link.

Thanks also to kmason - I just visited that website - yes, I've actually read one of her books before - was helpful.
Strange how some on this site think they know more than Ms Levine who has helped place law students for over 8 years.
I noticed the most vocal ones do not show their GPA or LSAT scores - wonder why.
I'm sure any #s posted now will be exaggerated, to say the least.

They sound very angry, like some of those I helped during my 3+ years. If they lived here, our organization would help them at no charge. Often it is dissatisfaction with their lot in life or thwarted ambitions. However, after even a few weeks of therapy their outlook on life changes, and the really sweet person within is slowly revealed. Such a satisfying change to help effect.

To all those who genuinely cared and helped, - thank you.

I bid you all adieu.
I had a 175 and 3.8 and the advice in this thread is generally spot on. Are you happy?

Hi,

Not sure if I post my Q here, but...

I want to go to Emory, but was also accepted at Harvard which is "the" name worldwide, BUT:

I applied late in the cycle (had planned to Teach for America, but didn't get in, so started the appln process in January).

Anyway, Hvd did not offer me any $, proby because I just turned 21 and have 0 work experience - or not good enough for scholarships.

Anyway, I also applied to Stanford $ and Yale $$ and since my pre-law adviser who went to Emory asked me to, - Emory $$$$ - full scholarship plus.

I have no money, parents have none to spare.

So, do I take loans for Harvard (for full tuition via FAFSA - but 6.8% interest !! - highway robbery) or go to Emory - full ride + extras.

I visited all 3 - one paid for my trip (poverty had one benefit).

I actually was in awe at Harvard, but met too many aggressive students and snobbish faculty; .... loved the people at Yale, .... and yet, overall, I was more impressed by Emory - friendly faculty, no snobbery, non-aggressive students, GREAT new "school to career" program, and CHEAP living.

I'm just afraid to blow a chance to attend the "best" law school which my parents and friends would be proud of, but end up a quarter of a MILLION dollars in debt, at least.

Constructive feedback, please - and no, I do not wish to retake LSAT and reapply early in the cycle.

Thanks.

From what you said, Harvard is still best regarded internationally.
Yale has been the #1 law school for some time, and sounds like you preferred their environment.

So to keep mum n dad happy (and you) Yale seems best.

Emory is not in that stratosphere, though I do agree that its a lovely school.

Share your scholarship with others on this post :)

You are one lucky guy/gal.

Thanks, kmason,

I actually am tense abt going to H 'cause it will be tough dealing with those snobs.
I have a strong accent and am not used to being around rich people - who are at both H&Y.
I was more comfortable at Emory, but I know it is not at the same rank.

Yes, I am lucky maybe, but I worked damned hard and also inherited my parents genes - both engineers back "home". They wanted me to continue in Engineering, but also feel they need a lawyer in the family to survive in California.

Thanks for your kind help. Can I PM you?

haha i would just like to know if us calling OP "jeff" is accurate, and if OP is actually a dude trying to become a bottom-feeder women's lawyer? because in that case he should take some scholly money and put it towards testosterone patches.

couldn't leave this to subtlety, sorry tls
