Final Countdown: Emory vs. BU with $ from both

So I believe I'm down to:
Emory or BU, both with 20k schollys. I know total COA is higher at Emory than BU, but expect them to be about the same as they take different things into account (bu doesn't include health insurance) and the cost of living in Boston is much higher.
I know the traditional sense would be clearly go to BU. The thing that is making my decision more difficult is that my SO is from Georgia, and has family in law there. I am from neither the SE or the NE so personal ties are not really a big part of the decision. The SO understands that Emory has been facing trouble and will respect either decision, but obviously would prefer Emory.
So would the connections to lawyers in Atlanta be worth the better prospects out of BU?
As final notes: I've taken the LSAT a few times so I don't think retaking will help much.
I am also riding the WL at a couple schools that would take the cake.
