U of Oregon (+10k/yr) v. Rutgers Newark (in-state)

Pretty torn here, the money is basically the same either way with the 10k easy to keep scholarship from U of O. Roughly the same ranking. I'm from NJ (hence the in-state) but am not wedded to the idea of practicing in NJ (although I would like to return to NY/NJ to work someday)
How do you think the employment prospects in the two regions compare? If I leave NJ, am I realistically going to be able to come back if I want to?- 5/10 years after graduating?
Any idea which school is better for long term career prospects?
Anybody spend time in Eugene?
All input is appreciated.

To be honest it would make absolutely no sense to go to U of O from a career perspective. 1% chance at best that you go to U of O and get back to NJ...or anywhere outside of Oregon for that matter. Pretty sure Rutgers places better in its market anyway.

Oregon for Portland & Oregon, Rutgers for placement in New Jersey & New York.

GPA 3.4 LSAT 159 (took it twice)
Waitlisted at Alabama, W&M, and Iowa... we'll see if any of em pan out.
Still, the prospect of spending 3+ years in Newark is way less attractive than spending them in Eugene.

Then don't live in Newark. Live somewhere nearby and just spend your hours in school there. I know it's not the best place but it's several steps up from hell and New York City is a stone's throw away. I love the pacific northwest and Eugene is a nice but certainly not spectacular college town. So unless you are 100% committed to becoming an Oregonian for life and have a very compelling story to tell firms about why you relocated to the state from the northeast (it's a very insular market), forget about it. Even if you get into 'Bama, W&M, or Iowa, Rutgers is still by far and away your best choice and call me crazy but I'd certainly rather be in Newark than Tuscaloosa or Iowa City. You'll be paying out of state rates (for at least one of the years) at schools that are comparable to Rutgers in states where you have zero connections. A job isn't a certainty from any of them...Rutgers included. But, outside of the top 25, you go to the cheapest place where you have some sort of ties and forget about the rankings.
