Any Loyalty?

Postby curiousnole » Mon Apr 02, 2012 11:49 pm

I went to undergrad at FSU and I got into UF Law and FSU Law as well. They are almost the same only UF is slightly better in almost every area, but only slightly. Am I being stupid for feeling a bit sentimental and feeling like I almost owe it to FSU to stay here since they taught me (in my opinion very well) for undergrad?

I would generally caution that Tallanasty is in fact, quite awful. Seminole fans are awful and wear jorts with unfortunate regularity. I'd also like to point out that UF went farther in the NCAA tournament and more to the point... GO Gators. Hope this helps. :)

Unless FSU bought your loyalty with some $$$, it doesnt matter.

Haha come on now, I'm pretty sure a gator invented jorts... And some of the nicest neighborhoods in all of Florida are located in Tallahassee, but you do have to know where to go, that wouldn't be relevant for me though because I already live in one of them.

UF generally places much better in south Florida, so if that is a goal of yours it is an option to consider. Furthermore, its alumni base is large and affluent and notorious for helping out their own. Other than that, go to where you feel comfortable. As for loyalty, don't feel loyal to a place that will make you fork over a considerable amount of money to hear gasbags preach a few days a week and give you a diploma.

Whatever you owed them for that practical, sophisticated, worldly college education, you already paid for (in droves) in tuition. Law school loyalty should generally be sold to the highest bidder.

Not a T14 actually. Stick around enough and it's pretty obvious where I go.

Indeed I'd take my school over several T14s for the markets I wanted. And I got some soliddddd monies.

First go to the highest bidder. If both schools dont budge go to uf because it is the slightly better school and so you can play both sides. If you are with uf alumni say you felt uf was a better institution. If you are with fsu alumni say you just wanted to try a new town and say you loved tally and reminisce with them.

Also acquire a seersucker suit if you stay in the south.
