Hofstra (full ride) vs Penn State ($$)

Hey,
I feel like my brain is about to combust, just looking for some input/advice.
I live in NY, I have a full scholarship to Hofstra and 20k per year from Penn State. Sticker at Brooklyn just doesn't seem worth it.
Penn State isn't that much better than Hofstra that it makes a difference, does it?

Even with ties to Pennsylvania, Penn State is primary a Harrisburg/York/Lancaster school with fleeting power in Philly/Pittsburgh. It isn't that a Penn State degree can't get you the opposite ends of the state, but you won't have nearly the same networking opportunities as Pitt and Temple/Villanova students. PSU's real niche is state government work. As far as I recall, their maximum scholarship is ~$60k over three years, leaving you ~90k in the hole factoring in remaining tuition plus COL. Even that's too much to pay IMO.

If those are your only choices, go with Hofstra - at least it's free (except for cost of living)

No ties to PA, I'm mostly down for living anywhere,and disappearing from NY for 3 years is tempting.
The stips for Penn State are 3.0 GPA at the end of each year.
I also have 10k per year from George Mason, and 14k grant from Brooklyn,

That may be problematic. PA's legal sub-markets tend to be quite insular. The fact that the Dickinson School of Law is now Penn State (and thusly has a "brand name") does not help matters.

I wouldn't go to Penn State for the reasons HW mentioned, and I wouldn't go to Hofstra at all if you are really srs about being a lawyer. Retake?

And transferring the degree back to the NY market is too difficult? I don't intend to stay in PA forever..

Penn State isn't well known outside of central PA, much less NYC. Plus NYC has a bunch of other NYC schools. Too difficult.
