W&L v. Fordham v for patent law

Postby shroeder » Thu Mar 29, 2012 6:25 pm

If paying sticker at W&L or Fordham and definitely going to law school, where do you go if you have a MS in chemistry and want to get into patent law. Also would prefer to work in southeast US but not set on it. Wait listed at Emory and that would solve everything. Thanks for any input

w&l 2L, patent lit this summer.

We have an IP survey course, and then a patent litigation practicum and an IP practicum. That's 9 hours of IP experiential learning in the 3L year. Pair that with an externship in patent and you've got 14 hours.

There's a few that actually do patent every year, more that talk about it. Basically, W&L is not a major patent school, but if you want to come here, you can definitely do everything want to with patent law.
