These are the options I'm considering most right now. It's not that I particularly need "big law," I just want a job that can keep me comfortable and on top of the debt. The general tone of this forum makes it sound like this is also unlikely. However, I know that I can achieve a higher LSAT score. My ex-girlfriend passed away the week of the October exam, and I strongly consider that a factor in my test score dropping a few points from my practice average.
So it is painful, since I have a retail job right now that really doesn't make use of my talent, plus living with my parents, but I'm thinking of taking another year off and taking the test again (third time). Hopefully I'll have a score that makes GW more willing to give me a scholarship, or admission to some t-14s. I would appreciate any input, especially from students at peer schools who can attest to the general employment options for themselves and their friends.

Very sorry to hear about what happened. I think the general consensus here will be that taking a year off is definitely in your best interest. If you know you can do better, take the time and do better. It already shows maturity that you are willing to consider that option instead of diving right in to school. Also, and I could be off base on this, but another year before entering one of the most stressful times of your life could be invaluable.
Good luck with whatever you choose.

I'd take the time off as well. Do well enough on the test and your money from Cardozo could double (totally guessing; I took a quick look at LSN) which would totally be worth another year off.
This is credited. You could receive much better advice if we knew where you're at.

Fair enough. I am a Mexican-American URM. I was testing on average at 165.

URM with a 3.66? RETAKE. RETAKE. RETAKE. If you were practicing around 165 there is no reason you couldn't get that up a few points.
In a years time you are looking at choosing money at a t-14 school and laughing at the Cardozo fee waiver emails.

This. You will have great options if you can get your LSAT up a bit.

Retake.
Another issue, however, is what to do if you are accepted from the waitlist at Columbia or Texas at sticker.
