No debt? And you want to work in the SE, you say? You only need to make about $75k in Atlanta to match the cost of living $160k affords you in NY. This is Emory by a mile.

What's your definition of a "good" job? Flexible hours? Large paycheck?

Fordham if you want to get NYC biglaw.

Emory if you want the South.

By good job I mean that I'd like to work in a private firm with pretty good hours (<60/week), make pretty good pay, but it doesn't have to be market, and have interesting work.

1.retake get a couple more pts and go to UVA/Duke/Vandy or t14.

2.Since money is not a factor, I would go to Fordham. Better OCI. I think there is an 8% increase in NLJ250 placement.

OP has taken the LSAT 3 times already... They start looking at you funny when you take #4... Plus, they don't want big law, so NLJ250 placement doesn't mean a thing...

They are going to look at you crazy in the SE w/ a degree from Fordham... Unless you're top of the class... Again, Emory by a mile...

SE is a broad term..... Atlanta and some FL coast cities are not typically southern.....

If you are talking Dothan Alabama or Columbus GA or Meridian MS then it is Emory by a LONG shot....

Frankly, in those markets you will do better with Emory than the T-14 period with the possible exception of UVA.

True story, I was having lunch with my cousin in Dothan. He has his own firm, (Hung the shingle and does quite well.) Anyway, he meets my wife and says you're a Yankee aren't ya? She responded that she had lived in North Carolina for a long time. He said, "That state still has the word North in it."

Anecdotal story to say the least but in many smaller deep south markets Virginia is not even considered the south. Duke might as well be Harvard and both will get you funny looks unless you went to high school in the town you are applying. State schools with the state's name in the school or Vandy and Emory are the only other acceptable options in many of these places.....

Take that for what its worth, which is not much unless you are looking at smaller town law.

Curious as to why SMU with $78,000 scholarship money is not in the running. If you applied, I assume that you are open to living & working in Texas.

Deciding between Fordham & Emory should be a personal preference decision, in my opinion, since both leave you with no debt.

If you finish w/ median grades at any one of those schools, be prepared to stay in that region... For that reason, Emory is your best bet.
