I'm sure there's another thread to this effect, but the search function left alot to be desired. Plus I'm a special snowflake.
I negotiated for a scholarship I just can't pass up at Alabama, and regardless of whether or not i lose the scholarship, it is my cheapest option.
Here's the kicker though, I live in Atlanta. My ties to the state of Alabama include a few cousins who live in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa, I was born less than an hour from Tuscaloosa in Mississippi (most of my family still lives there), and my parents will probably end up moving to Bham (perhaps by the time I graduate). Also I have an uncle who played for Bear Bryant, which I imagine holds alot more water than it should in Alabama. Will this be sufficient for most Bham firms, and if I decide to go back to Atlanta, will firms be ok with "Bama offered me more money than UGA?"
Any advice on how to spin this would be awesome, and I'm willing to take measures to seem like less of a flight risk, if that's even possible.
