Every time I see Fordham come up in a question, people always say that Fordham shouldn't be considered.
Why?

Because it's expensive and doesn't usually give out as much in scholarship $$$ as its competitors, leaving it as the most expensive option for most people.

But FWIW, I'm here and I don't really regret it.

(a) Fordham at sticker + (b) cost of living in NYC + (c) low-ish chances of biglaw = Don't consider Fordham.

This calculation changes drastically if (a) or (b) changes.

Fordham has relatively solid NYC firm placement. If they weren't so expensive, it would be a better option than a lot of schools ranked above it. But it is an incredibly expensive (and stingy) school in an incredibly expensive city. Yes, some people get good scholarships there, but generally you aren't going to get a really big scholarship unless you have T14 numbers. At which point, you probably shouldn't go to Fordham.
