Class Sizes at Harvard

Postby brownpride » Sun Feb 05, 2012 12:18 pm

What are the class sizes like at Harvard for 1L and senior classes like? I know the rep for faculty:student ratio and intimacy isn't great, but what kind of numbers are we looking at?

Yeah, don't go to harvard. Classes are way too big. I heard NYLS has much better class sizes.

By class size I mean number of students in a class, not the overall class size. I understand the 1L classes might be larger but once you get to the senior years are they reasonably sized cause there are a lot of classes, or still huge?

First semester, all your classes are with your section, which is about 80 people. Second semester, you take an international elective (one of about 7 choices), and this class can be a bit smaller or a bit bigger than your section classes. You also take a non-limited elective, and this can be anything from a seminar with 10-15 people to a big lecture class with 100.
