Chances at a top 10? I have a very strong, unusual personal statement and strong rec letters.

URM? If not best shot is MICH, other than that none.

I have the same numbers. I'm applying to Duke, Cornell, Texas, Vandy, and UGA (safety). I would ed UVA but am hoping for some money elsewhere.

If you're not debt averse, ed UVA.

I compiled all of the LSN numbers ('10-11) for our stats and made a spreadsheet. PM me if you're interested.

TBF, an ED to UVA would not prove fruitful. A 3.8 is below the GPA median and a 168 is below the LSAT median.

TITCR.

It might seem trivial--hell, it is--but the difference between a 3.8 and a 3.9 is what breaks you at UVA ED. 3.9+ 168 is almost auto-admit ED, but that .1 is determinant. If you have great softs, though, you might still have a good chance.

I agree with the above.

I took 3.8 to mean 3.8x and not 3.80.

I actually have a 3.85, .01 below median, which is frustrating as hell. Damn that 89.4 in Spanish!
