My fee waiver got denied. I'm working on an appeal (which takes a while I heard) so I went ahead and submitted some of my applications and will be contacting the schools directly.

Not LSAC fee waiver. Individual fee waivers from schools.

Your dreams hinge on graduating in 2015?

That was me being sarcastic. Sorry if it wasn't clear enough.

I think the stigma of re-taking is starting to wear off, but you should be aware that there still is one, especially for HYS. I really, really urge you not to take it yet.

Irvine might be worth it, as well. I think that school will wind up in the top-20.

Irvine is certainly shaping up to be an excellent school, but expecting it to fall in the top 20? Really?

There's no way, who do you think it will knock out? There are too many fairly established schools in the T20. Fordham, GW, ND, Emory, BU, Davis, Boston College. I really don't see a brand new law school taking a spot among those schools.

I think it will debut in the T40 or 50, MAYBE upper 30s.

The safer option is to not consider anything ranked lower than USC.

It's not all about ranking of the school. Consider financial aid and location too. I turned down USC @ 30k per year because I got significantly more money at a marginally lower ranked school in an area I love.

Or 'settle' for Berkeley.
