You do know that a totally decent one bedroom place can be had in Buffalo for around $250 to $350 a month? Plus everything is cheaper in Buffalo than on Long Island - gas, groceries, restaurants, drinks at a bar. Buffalo is a totally decent city with very friendly locals. You should take the plunge, and get out of Long Island for a change.

Yeah dude, I loathe this place that is Long Island.

And with that we should end this thread for good!

Opening this thread! Jimbola, which school did you end up choosing? I'm from western NY (grew up between Buffalo and Rochester) and now living in Boston after spending 5 years in Rochester post-undergrad. So far I've been waitlisted at Hofstra and accepted at Suffolk. Still waiting to hear back from Buffalo and Albany. As much as I love Boston and everything it has to offer, if I'm accepted at Buffalo I'm pretty much 99% sure I'd attend. I'm interested in government work.

I'd go with UB. Kind of a clear-cut decision. But if you want to be a DA, you really should've included CUNY in your search. It has a solid reputation within the whole NYC metro and is on the rise. Can't beat their tuition for the kind of graduate they produce.
