family law program?

Post by Schang1 » Fri Oct 07, 2011 6:59 pm

Does anyone happen to know which of the T20 schools family law programs are well-known? I've visited the websites, but I don't know how well-known the school's program is (most schools seem to have clinics - child advocacy, mediation, etc. and professors who published books and all) but I'm not sure if there is a school that has a really distinguished family law program. Would love to hear from anyone who knows about this :)

I can't really answer your question, but power to you if you really end up going into this field. I can't imagine the war stories that come out of it, but I can imagine it would be very depressing to engage in on a day to day basis.

Don't pick based on some program within the school, pick based on the school.

+1 to above

You want to go to a strong school in the area you want to practice in. But with something like family law you also need to keep your debt really low as it's not something you will make much in early on, if you get a job at all.

Good luck!
