Whether or not Northwestern is the best choice for you depends upon several factors including your other law school options & the geographic markets that you are targeting.
As a sidenote, it is quite difficult to get admitted to Northwestern without a year or two of post college work experience. Many posters have written that NU "requires" two years of post undergraduate work experience. If accurate, then NU is the only law school which requires post-BA/BS work experience. If you come straight from UG, Northwestern has about a 1% chance of accepting you. Honestly, you could probably have a 4.0 and 180 and get denied.

Both statements are probably true, but the second is likely due to YP.TheFactor wrote:MusicComp wrote:CanadianWolf wrote:Northwestern University places well in biglaw & is worth attending. Reading the TLS blurb on NU it says that in 2007 they had like 74% placement into NLJ250. That's ridiculous. Sucks that the legal market has fallen off so bad. Is it expected to return to that level? That would be awesome. 45% isn't bad but that still leaves some people who want Biglaw that strike out.

Nobody really expects hiring to return to pre-recession levels. It will probably get better than 45%, provided we don't double-dip.TheZoid wrote:Reading the TLS blurb on NU it says that in 2007 they had like 74% placement into NLJ250. That's ridiculous.
