Will you still go to law school if the U.S. does not default

The chances the U.S. will default by August 2 are 0%. The chances that the legal job market will remain a disaster for years to come are 100%. So why law school right now?

Both debt reduction plans end in-school subsidies for graduate student loans. I think the plan is too assure that every student has to go underground and become a bar tender after getting a JD to avoid Sallie Mae.

Mostly a combination of three factors:
1. I am passionate about being a lawyer;
2. And I am going to a T14 on an almost full-ride, thereby minimizing my financial risk while maximizing my chances of legal employment;
3. And because I am older than most law students (early 30s), many events in the near future related to my family will preclude from pursuing law school.
I wish the economy were better; but for me, it's now or never.
EDIT
However, if the US government's inability to deal some its most basic functions continues, to the point that it further aggravates our economic problems, then I would pull back and forget about law school. It's never too late to change course.
I will be monitoring closely this default issue, as there are some indications that it is already starting to upset the fragile economy:

We don't need jobs in "every other field." There are some fields out there doing pretty well, so there are alternatives.
Also, we need to consider that legal field has been one of most afflicted by the recession; and even before that, there legal field was already in a shaky position because of the overproduction of lawyers.

By your logic one should pay 6 figures for a law degree that offers little chance of success instead of pursuing other alternatives that offer little chance of success but at no cost.
