I would pick Illinois - you'd have a better chance of ending up in Chicago. And is there really that much difference in scholarship if you get instate to UIUC?

If IL in-state -> Go to UIUC

IUB's ranking is way higher than the job prospects it offers, so don't get caught up in the rankings.

UIUC for the win.

IUB is overrated and has shitty placement with no natural market.

Haha, there's not that much to know about Champaign-Urbana. You can see all there is in about half a day.

I vote Illinois too FWIW

Champaign is a cool town. The coffee shops serve beer and wine. What more could you want?

UIUC is the easy choice here. You wont have your pick of the lot, but you should have no problem getting a solid lease this time in the summer. PM me if you need any help with Champaign related stuff (I did my undergrad there recently).

false. IUB's natural market is Indianapolis. the major firms in Indy recruit almost exclusively from IUB and IU-Indy.

I also disagree that IUB is "overrated." While it certainly does not enjoy the same placement as its T23 peers, it nevertheless has a fantastic faculty and the campus is gorgeous. Plus Bloomington is an awesome place to go to law school. Very laid-back and chill, allowing you to escape the frenzy of law school fairly easily.

That said, I would still say UIUC, but only if you get in-state tuition. otherwise you'd save more going to IUB and have essentially the same career prospects in Chicago, as IUB places very well there.

If it doesn't enjoy the same placement as its peers, it's overrated. Go to Illinois. The locked in tuition makes up enough of the difference in cost and the in-state tuition is just a cherry on top.

No, this is not right. IUB doesn't come close to Illinois in Chicago.

Baker & Daniels, Barnes & Thornberg, Krieg DeVault, Taft...all OCI at NDLS. Yes, they have a majority of assocaites from IUB and IUI, but this is self selection.

Indy = TTT market
LOL @ "T23". It doesn't even place like a T50!
LOL @ fantastic faculty. The same can be said about some TTTs.
LOL @ same career prospects in Chicago!

The funny thing is that not even actual IUB kids believe that its placement is that great.

I had the same options. Just by looking simply at job prospects, U of I was the obvious choice. Check out the firm comparison on NALP that do OCI. Plus, its the state of Indiana (no offense to anyone from there).

The faculty are great at U of I. Down to earth as well. See you in a couple weeks!

I'm from Indiana and I can attest that it's a sad shithole
