Masters Degree GPA

Post by FrozenCavemanLawyer » Wed Jul 06, 2011 10:50 am

Does a Masters Degree GPA factor into the admissions equation at all? I have a 3.33 Undergrad GPA and a 3.98 Masters GPA. I am taking the LSAT in October and have been studying vigorously with a private tutor. I see that on the US News rankings they only look at the Undergrad GPA (i think). Please help! I want to know what my chances are at schools in the NYC area!

Sorry, your masters GPA doesn't count.

well I am hoping to get into Fordham, so I'm thinking that an LSAT in the high 160s should give me a solid shot then. Looking back I could have easily done better in UG, especially if I knew that I was going to go to law school. My Masters is in education.

You're a tough sell to Columbia and NYU with a 3.33 UGPA. Schools don't care about grad gpas at all.

Probably in contention still at Fordham.

I wasn't thinking Columbia or NYU with a 3.33, thats just ridiculous.
