UC Davis vs. Arizona

Postby cool of law » Thu Jun 30, 2011 10:38 am

So I am all set to go to Arizona when boom -- I get an email from UC Davis that I've been taken off the wait list...Now I need advice...anyone care to weigh in?

I have a fairly substantial scholly from arizona allowing me to pay half of the OOS tuition, I have not contacted Davis about $$$ yet..

Thank you for the help. :D

Yeah, results of the poll will be pretty skewed until then. Davis (and most of the UCs) are generous with need-based aid...even if you don't get merit (and I didn't), you might still come away with a decent package.

+1 , if you want to work in AZ it should be a no-brainer to pick Arizona. Otherwise I would pick Davis because Tucson is garbage

Clarification: My main priority is securing a job post-law school. I would rather practice in CA.

A job in AZ sure beats being unemployed in CA, though

Davis for the win. Also, job prospects are shitty unless you are in a top portion of your class. Rock it.

Unless you're at a T-20 school, being a median student at anywhere is going to be tough. That's why you should probably just attend wherever you want to practice.

True. Just make sure it's one of the better schools where you want to practice.

Both, thought Davis might have it a little bit easier.
