Showdown : W&M $$$ v. Wake Forest $$$

Scholarships at both. I prefer to practice on the east coast. I like DC and could see myself possibly working on the Hill. I also like NC so I am unsure as to where I exactly want to end up. Both schools gave me great deals and I would not go into debt attending either. Which would you choose? Which will open the most doors and high paying job possibilities?

This is the third poll you have run. Didn't TLSers tell you to go to ND in the last two polls? Stop fishing for the answer you want and just decide and go.

It is extremely difficult to get a job on the Hill with a JD but no prior Hill experience. If that's what you really want to do, make sure you do several Hill internships during law school and network your butt off. You also will need to choose a few policy issue areas that interest you and gain some substantive expertise. Even then, it's unlikely. W&M for the Hill for sure, though.

Why did you eliminate Notre Dame??!!! Just go where you want since you seem to have already made up your own mind.

If he wants East Coast, eliminating ND makes sense.

I'm voting W&M over Wake in this case. I think they have a stronger rep. But, really, as you know, you have two good choices.

William & Mary is worth the little extra cash.

Agree. I live in DC. W&M has a good rep here.

I actually got confused. W&M would be around 11K a year more expensive or 33K more expensive overall.

Still worth the extra debt. While obviously an imperfect sample, I've met tons of W&M alums in DC and no WF alums. It also seems like their alumni base works hard to help each other out.
