Alabama vs. Wake Forest
I have schollys at both, and Alabama would be $10k plus living, Wake would be $18k plus living. As far as mobility and education which would be better? I'm from TN, but I just know I want to practice in the South. Any input is welcome and appreciated.

I think 'bama is a great deal. If you do well (top 1/3) you'll be just fine in the South. Roll Tide!

Seems like a toss up IMO. You should visit both then go where you feel most comfortable.

Have you visited both? Which one did you like better?

Would you rather live in Alabama or North Carolina? Go to that school.
Also, do the scholarships have stipulations?

I've visited Wake but not Bama. I have until June 1st to make a decision, so I'm going to try to get down to Tuscaloosa soon. Both schollys have stipulations. Bama is top 40% and Wake is top 2/3.

Whoa. Go to Wake. I wouldn't touch a top 40% stipulation with a 10-foot pole. (Not that any stipulation is fantastic, but at least with a top 66% stip you can still keep your scholarship if you end up median.)SunnyBee wrote:I've visited Wake but not Bama. If you lose your scholly you can still get instate tuition 2L and 3L at Alabama (15k per year), which is WAY less than Wake at sticker (if you lose your scholly).SunnyBee wrote:I've visited Wake but not Bama. Try to negotiate stipulation down at Bama. I've heard they're quite reasonable about lowering it. And do the same at Wake, for the matter, but you might not have much to bargain with.
