UT (Full Scholly) vs CCN

Postby $1.99 » Sun May 15, 2011 11:06 pm

Hello all,

If I am shooting for Biglaw in Texas after I graduate (Houston/Dallas), which one of these schools would be the best option for me? I have a full scholly to UT but I have been living here for almost all my life vs nearly sticker at two of the CCNs. Help please.

You'd have a better shot at NYC biglaw, prestigious PI work, and academia, but those aren't what you want. You want biglaw in Texas. Take UT and buy yourself a sweet car your first year out while your CCN friends are paying down their massive debt and blowing much of their salary on Manhattan COL.

He'll have better odds at Texas Big Law from CCN, but not enough to justify 150K more debt.
