Well, I need to decide by 5 PM today.

I have a preference to work on the east coast after graduation and I am down to the following 3 options. I would like to get either big law or to work on Capitol Hill (I have some strong political work experience over the past few years). I have a guaranteed NLJ 250 job after graduation in a secondary market if I choose to take it but I would like to have as many doors open as possible.

Stips on scholarships are all good standing.

Actaully, Indiana is off the list because travel expenses make it the same cost as WF.

If you truly have a guaranteed job you should go to whatever is cheaper. If the job is not guaranteed and you want NE I would go to ND.

Wake then. Wake will put you in the South but if you have a job lined up then you don't have to worry about biglaw placement or anything.

If you're guaranteed a job then the cheapest one, no question.

This. Guaranteed NLJ 250 job at graduation is golden ticket. None of those schools is going to guarantee you an entree into the DC market of any kind.

Also, hope your contact doesn't somehow fuck up in the next three years so that you lose that guaranteed job.

Then, at least in this instance, nepotism is a good thing ! Nevertheless, things can & often do change over the course of 3 or 4 years.

If daddy is going to give you a job then, I reiterate, just go to the cheapest one.

I guess I'm looking at it from a different angle.

If you have biglaw job lined up after graduation you'll pay off your debts very quickly. Therefore think which degree will carry you farther in your career: partner track, political inroads, etc (as these seem like realistic options for someone like you). I'd say ND because of national reputation. A few years after LS you'll have your debts paid off, some experience in a big firm, and a nationally-recognized LS on your resume = many doors will be open for you. (Disclosure: I'm speaking from pure conjecture, but this seems to make the most sense to me.)

ND ftw

Damn, I wish my dad could give me a golden ticket.
