I want to go into government, and these are my options. Which will get me there? I'm willing to live anywhere.

Tough, but I'd knock out Fordham immediately unless you want local NYC gov. GW has a lot of advantages being where it is (can intern during the year to get your foot in the door), but WUSTL is a damn fine school with a much lower COL and huge scholarship. I personally would take WUSTL and not look back, especially since you're willing to work outside DC.

What do you mean by government? Purely federal? What kind of work?

From my perspective WUSTL is always the right move but....
