could you give more background like what your interested in and possible scholarship amounts? Its hard to give an answer without any of this. Without any more information, all I can say is Suffolk is probably a terrible option. I dunno about Vermont.

How come "Don't go" is not an option? Who's forcing you to go to law school?
Without substantial scholarship, don't go.

Where do you want to practice? What are your career goals? Do you have scholarships? If so, are their strict GPA/class rank stipulations? If not, is a relative guaranteeing you a position after graduation?
If I have substantial, stipulation-free scholarships to both, was fine with being regionally limited, and HAD to choose one, it would be Vermont, as Suffolk has BC/BU grads in their market to contend with whereas Vermont is the only school in its state. Plus, the campus is freaking beautiful.

both are great schools for new england region, that said, go with vermont where it dominates its own state and could provide u some competition in boston as well

Wouldn't choose either. Where do you want to work? Suffolk is the bottom of the heap in a heavily saturated Boston market, South Royalton (SoRo) is like living in very rural Kentucky except the weather is a lot worse.
I'd take Vermont because...
a) There are a decent amount of government jobs in Montpelier
b) The crazy overlap of nepotism, federal teat feeding, overtaxing, and insane laws mean that there are lots of nooks to latch into in the state if you're connected
c) The state is the "most rural" in the country, and VT Law seems to dominate many small town firms I know of
d) If you can handle shit weather, the place has a lot of charm, the best skiing on the East Coast, and June - October are phenomenal
e) Crossroads, the only bar in South Royalton, is an awesome honkey tonk
Don't think for a minute you'll come to VT and the state will be welcoming to you if you're not from here and unwilling to adapt, or that you'll be free from T1 - T2 competition. BC is better for Vermont than Vermont Law. Realize though that Vermont is insulated and isolated enough however to probably place you better than Suffolk.

I think the general consensus here is go with Vermont, Congrats OP! i know many ppl who tried to get in Vermont but failed. Vermont Law should open the doors to a bright future

Also, keep in mind that Vermont as a whole has fewer people than Jacksonville, or Memphis, or Detroit. The school is right on top of the White River, down the road from the Tunbridge World's Fair (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tunbridge_World%27s_Fair) and in a stark valley that cooks up a nasty microclimate.

I got all excited when I skimmed the article and saw "a 'drunkards reunion,' with soft-porn shows and unlimited alcohol" then I realized that the current chair has been lauded for eliminating that aspect of the fair and now it's family friendly. Someone from Vermont going to a better law school will dominate VLS grads in the Vermont market.
People keep repeating this mantra that a 3rd tier is ok for cloistered markets, but that's only true to the extent that you're not competing against people with actual ties to the area. Against those individuals, assuming they went to better schools, you have little chance.

Not to downplay the bad fortune of these lower ranked/ non ranked school, but why on earth would you cite this blog as a valid source? For gods sake, its written as if some high school freshmen wrote it using photos that he thought were amusing. Besides that, the blog is laced with profanity, every other letter is replaced with "$" with ample use of the explanation and question marks. True, but a can't imagine that the VT market is flooded with competing T14/BC/BU grads. VT Law is insanely expensive, but with a generous stipulation-free scholly, ties, and desire to work in-state, it might not be a terrible idea.
