Currently finalizing my decision. I'm interested in biglaw, at least for a while. I'd like the opportunity of working on the east (specifically DC) or the west coasts. Debt sucks, but I'm not terrified of it. Michigan seems like the best deal to me, am I wrong?

Michigan is the way to go. Plus Ann Arbor is fantastic.

TITCR. Vandy will limit you a little and while Penn is as highly regarded as UM, it doesn't seem to have quite the national reach (mostly a product of Michigan's vast alumni network). Add the additional money and cheaper tuition and COL and it looks like you've got an easy decision

Go Blue!

Penn's placement seems modestly stronger (~70% vs. ~60%), but that's older data and isn't really THAT accurate of a measure anyway (e.g. due to different numbers of public interest students). I'd suggest deciding between Penn and Michigan on the basis of which you like more. They're fairly different schools.

One important note: DC is hard for everyone, and as far as I know no school has a special advantage outside of HY(S).
