Hey so I need to make a decision between these two schools soon. Not getting much financial aid in either direction. Not looking to get into big law but rather government work post law school, so I am fully aware of the lack of NYC prospects from Cuse and it does not bother me. Both will be pricey for me but it is not a worry (for reasons I will not disclose). Just wondering which law degree would be a better investment and the pros/cons of going to either. Thanks!

Penn State has more lay prestige, but both are solidly regional schools. Syracuse will largely confine one's initial job opportunities to upstate NY. Penn State will largely confine one's initial job opportunities to Central PA (with fleeting jabs at Philly and Pittsburgh). Penn State would be decent for government if the OP is interested in working for the PA state government.
