Any thoughts on UGA for big law/ market rate in Atlanta vs. BC for the same in Boston, without considering tution and cost of living?

For big law -
No contest. BC/BU (I already forgot) by far.

For reasonableness -
BC/BU are worth $100,000 of debt. However, I'm uncertain as to whether they are worth more than that.
UGA is worth less than $100,000 of debt, and the exact number is difficult to quantify (due to intangibles - i.e. UGA is not the best school in state, the largest metropolitan area attracts a lot of out of state attention, etc.)

i completely agree. I would argue that BC/BU are worth more than 100k if you were to finish top 1/4 to 1/3 in the class (obviously wont know where you finish going in).

Anyone disagree or feel otherwise?

As someone who lives in Atlanta/has worked in the Atlanta legal market, if you want to work in Atlanta/in the South, go to UGA (I assume you have more $ there, plus you could get instate after a year, I think).

If you want to practice anywhere else, go to BC.

But I thought you were ignoring costs? In your vaccum sure, bc/bu wins.

I wouldn't go to either school gunning for biglaw, have fun with that 200k gamble when you aren't top of class at bu bc. Not you specifically but seems a lot of people have bu and bc sticker as an option at this point.

The reason I would support BC over UGA for the respective markets is because of UGA's placement stats. The issue of debt is a whole different animal, that was the reason for such a caveat.
