The numbers are grants. I want NYC big law but I don't know if the debt for Cornell is worth it.

Cornell is probably the right call, but Northwestern wouldn't a bad choice if you don't like Cornell. GWU even with 30 still leaves a lot of debt.

I would probably go with Cornell, unless you hate Ithaca. Next would be Northwestern.

Definitely not GW. I got 30k there too [plus 16k for housing] and itll still cost me 120k to attend. Ridiculous. PLUS- 70% of their 3L class is currently unemployed, one month before graduation. Just doesn't seem worth the debt vs. risk.

I'd choose NU over Cornell. I think NU's business school approach helps its graduates overcompensate for their 'lower' T14 ranking. They have a lower position, but consistently place more graduates into BigLaw than other schools. With a difference of <10k total, I'd definitely pick NU.

a. get a poll up

b. You have to factor in COL too. NU is in Chicago vs. Cornell in Ithaca, so the COL is hugely different.

c. Cornell actually places like a BAMF in NYC, but NU does place well in Biglaw http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=150681.

d. Do you like small towns or big cities when you're studying?

e. GW is not an option in this case.
