Idk what the best course of action for you would be. But a quarter million dollars for GULC sure isn't it

I don't know if reapplying would help you. As for the choices you have, I don't think GULC is worth $250K. In deciding between Fordham and BC, I think you need to decide whether you are dead set on NYC or if you would be willing to work in Boston. If you are deadset on NYC, then you should go to Fordham, but if you would also be willing to work in Boston, then you should go to BC.

Apply first day apps open to Chicago through BU.

You should have a better option than you have with those numbers.

This. You should at least get a bite at MVP.

If you weren't set on new york, I'd say take BC.

140k, while not great, is not too shabby for decent chance at biglaw. And even if you just got mid law, I don't think it would be sole crushingly hard.

If you want new york... retake reapply. You've got great numbers. If you apply early and send your app to t10-t30, I bet you'd be in a much better position than you are now (minus your bill for apps).

GL!

Fordham is an excellent choice- do NOT go to GULC at that price instead of Fordham. Why no Cornell though?

Voted reapply. Your numbers are way more solid than the options you've been presented with this cycle.

Any opinions on this question? Quantitatively (have seen all the NLJ and interesting TLS salary threads, but always interested in personal interpretations of this data), intuitively, anecdotally, etc
Yes to M, maybe at 75-100K more than Fordham for the other bottom T14s, but the M is more personal preference

I'd prepare to reapply the first day apps open, and spend the next few months turning my essays into pure gold.

I would think ED and your are in at MVP, I'd wait and ED at Penn. Just opinion, but yes, for NYC biglaw they are worth sticker. and yes, they are significantly better than BC, fordham. But I could see BC if you could be happy with any decent firm that pays well. I think that you could service that debt well enough out of forham or BC, but I'd take BC if I had the choice and could live in boston.

I would reapply, at the very least you should be fielding full rides from some in the 20s with your stats
