btw, OP, the more I see this thread at the top of this page, the more I think the phrase "completely screwed" might be a little strong. Let's save that wording for the people w/ families who get laid off or people who contract life threatening diseases, etc.

on another note: OP why do you have to go to school this year? You can always take the year off, and do more research and visit the schools you think you want to go- and apply to the ones you liked the best, in addition to other schools next cycle.

I think way too many voted for IUB. I've been trying to avoid weighing in on too many of these "where should I go?" threads, because as an OL, I feel like I'm blind leading blind. However, I will say that I do not get the fixation on IUB. Sure a full ride is always nice, and it is a reputable school -- but it's a midwestern school set in a small market saturated with competition. Its big law placement hasn't cracked the top-50.

My point: In my opinion IUB is a fine school for someone interested in practicing in the midwest or for someone with connections back home who just wants a T1 school on their resume -- but absent these factors I think it's a hard-sell.
