GULC sticker v.s GW w/ $$

Postby arouhani89 » Mon Mar 21, 2011 11:45 pm

In at Georgetown but also in at GW with a merit scholarship of $30,000 a year plus free housing the first year (total value is around $106,000)

I'm having a pretty tough time deciding so any opinion on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

I think i might as well utilize the poll creation option, but explanations would be great.

Thanks : )

If you want Biglaw GULC offers an edge in placement, but 106k is nothing to sneer at, I'd lean towards GW.

If you want PI GULC is the way to go.

so if i wanted to go into big law, would you still say GW?

i know georgetown's networking and big law placement is better, but GW's scholarship is so nice. ahhh

If you want biglaw you may want to look into keeping your debt to a minimum. I'm not sure exactly how GW's biglaw placement compares to GULC's, but I'm guessing the difference is not worth 106k. Do some research and figure out what option fits your plans best.
