W&M ($69k) vs. Emory ($75k) vs. BC (???)

It looks like my cycle is narrowed down to three:

a) W&M w/ $69k. $30k is guaranteed, and the rest is contingent on maintaining a B-average. Also, I have to work 8-10 hrs/wk (1st yr in the law library; 2nd/3rd yrs doing research)
b) Emory w/ 75k. I need to "remain in good standing" (C-average or above?)
c) BC w/ ??? - I have not received any money from BC yet. I would try to negotiate w/ them, once they begin issuing offers.

I don't really have a regional preference, although I suppose I would prefer living in Boston the most, and in Richmond (or wherever else W&M grads end up) the least. Emory, the school itself, seems the most appealing to me right now.

Wow I'm surprised Emory is receiving such unanimous approval (7 votes compared to 1 vote each for BC and W&M)

Is there any reason why Emory seems like the best choice?

No reason to go to W&M over Emory if you aren't into living in VA. So that leaves Emory vs. BC. The schools are very similar as far as placement goes, so unless you are dead-set on Boston you should choose the one that gives you the most money. Plus you seemed to like Emory more.

Schools are not very similar in terms of placement. BC>Emory. However, that's a pretty large scholarship and it would probably be best to go to Emory or WM.

More money at a higher ranked school with less strict scholarship requirements. If you had have said Virginia was you're top choice for working, then it would have changed everything.

OK, I think I agree w/ all of you; W&M is probably out

I will have to wait until BC releases its scholarship offers (this Tues at the earliest)

These are all good regional schools. Go to the school in the area you would like to live.

Atlanta, go to Emory
Boston, go to BC

Wait until scholarship comes out for BC, report back. If they don't give you any money, I would go for Emory, assuming you're completely geographically neutral. The marginally better job prospects wouldn't offset a 75k difference in loans.
