Scholarship Negotiation

Post by hopefulsplitter1 » Wed Mar 09, 2011 11:35 pm

To date my offers are,

IUB- 120k- Good School in the mid west. Concerned about lack of big law opportunity

Georgia/ Wake Forest- Both about the same tuition 14k/year, about same number in big law, would like to try out the south, but have no connections. Prob prefer Georgia between them.

St. John's- Full Ride- I'm from NY so COA would be close to zero, but its the lowest ranked school on my list and faces alot of competition in NY.

Illinois- 25 k/year. Attractive option but COA is higher than others on my list and i dont really want to deal with the freezing cold of illinois.

Emory-30k total

How do I go about negotiating scholarships? Should I call the Admissions Departments or Mail/Email Them?

Do I mention all the offers I received or only offers from peer schools?

Any templates available for letters?
