I've talked to many (misinformed) applicants who want to stay close to my hometown (or, just didn't have the scores to move to another location comfortable) and literally picked Syracuse over the stupid ranking, even though it cost so much more.FuManChusco wrote:neither.pereira6 wrote:Things I care about that nobody else does:
UB gets ranked higher than Syracuse.
Hm, do I pay 20k or 45k for a regional WNY law school?
Take that, SU.
I'm happy to be leaving WNY, but I'm glad my UG's law school is trying to work its way up in the face of an awful state budget.

completely reasonable response. I feel very bad for those applicants. they're walking into financial suicide.pereira6 wrote:I've talked to many (misinformed) applicants who want to stay close to my hometown (or, just didn't have the scores to move to another location comfortable) and literally picked Syracuse over the stupid ranking, even though it cost so much more.FuManChusco wrote:neither.pereira6 wrote:Things I care about that nobody else does:

Is U.S. News employment data self-reported? I know a girl that graduated from ASU law and tells everybody that she is "practicing law" without giving any details. In reality she moved back in with her parents. Could she technically "tell" U.S. News that she is "practicing law"?
