Top Law Schools

I’m just curious about the Charlotte School of Law employment rate. I tried reviewing their site and its listed as N/A. Which is very alarming because a legal education is too expensive to not know this information. So I was wondering if there are any students/graduates who attend(ed) that are able to report if they are currently working (internships etc). In addition to, have they notice graduates gaining employment.

Yay for due diligence. Do not go to charlotte law. Making money, not education/giving people jobs, is their number 1 priority. THey are a for-profit institution.

Charlotte market also isn't great right now and Charlotte Law has to compete with UNC/Wake/Duke grads.

No not planning on attending. A friend of mine is planning to begin their Spring program and I was wondering about the Job outlook and was alarmed after seeing N/A. Who wants to go there knowing you may not get employed. Sad

Looks like they had a 95% placement rate for the 2009 class. Wonder how the 2010 looks.

Depends on your goals and if you would need to borrow money / dip into savings for cost of living. In addition, you would need to weigh the opportunity cost. What would you be doing in the 3 years law school would consume? Finally, if you're set on being a lawyer, would you mind waiting a year and trying for a better score on the LSAT? If I can get into decent schools with my GPA, surely anyone can.

Even when schools post data it's usually rigged. If they don't post it that means....

I was accepted there with a very substantial scholarship, but now that I have other offers of admission (so far, at sticker) I cannot justify going. Even if you want to work in Charlotte (I've decided I don't), NC has several more established schools than Charlotte and that should help when looking for jobs. If you're going to go to a school that isn't top ranked, you're probably better off going to a school that has more than a handful of alumni, at least as far as job prospects go.
