I for one would like to see the tie at 98 broken, which would bump some schools into the tierd tier.

If you are interested in how any of those ties will shake out in the new rankings, I would say go for it and make a thread.

Your dog looks exactly like my dog!

And, I have no knowledge about W&M, I just hope UNC moves upward in rankings since I think their reputation is better than a 28.

It looks like W&M did improve their numbers slightly. It was more of a gut feeling with them. I was hoping with this thread people might be able to speak to individual school's situations, possibly as current students at the school, and provide insight one way or another on what might happen.

Obama's birth cert has nothing to do with the #28 position in USNWR.

So, will W&M and UNC (possibly) go up in rank??

For our sake, let's hope UNC jumps a few spots. It is too early to tell, but based off LSN, it looks like they may raise their LSAT median.

That's what I'm saying, too.

I looks like UNC's 25/Med/75 LSAT increased by +2/+1/+1 while the Gpa stats are pretty much the same. These increases are from the entering class of 2010 over the class of 2009. The entering 2010 numbers are what matters for the rankings that come out this spring.

Did you even check UNC's LSN numbers? What on there, in those <30 anonymous acceptances, indicates an increase in LSAT median? Also, did you bother to check the other schools at #28, whose graphs look similar? If anything, it looks like UNC has only accepted a few URMs and auto-admits. Another point to consider if that these auto-admits have applied to other, more prestigious schools. UNC is more like a safety school with a low in-state tuition cost for these auto-admits. UGA, W&M, and UW-M are in the same position. Check out their LSN graphs this year.

I think you're getting a year ahead of yourself. The rankings that come out in a month or so will be based off the 2010 entering class' numbers which I posted above.

W&M is a very solid school; it just has the misfortune of being shadowed by UVA.

I got into a better school with better $$$ opportunities, and was waitlisted by W&M, but I thought it was a great school and very well might have turned down my current school to go there had I been admitted.

It's about on par with UNC, but I can't see it dropping.
