Conspiracy of cartographers, is all.
Yeah, man, but what if, life, all locations are actually just one big location, you know? I mean, what is a "location", anyway? Right?

I see nothing wrong with admitting you are taking a lowered absolute percentage in job prospects for an increased percentage in the area you want to be (I very well may be doing the same thing).
That's all I'm saying. I'm also bitter that my friend got into USC earlier and with fewer review dates, which is silly because I don't want to live in California. Do you know how to make logic override emotions?

Can you, like, be IN a location, or does a location only exist relative to another location? So like, how do you interpellate a location into, like, a place, if you can't like, be in the place...shit.

Have you ever argued about which numerical delineation of law school rankings based on employment prospects is most valid, on weed?

I'm mad that USC has taken the longest out of all my apps to give me at least an initial response. It's been over 6 months, wtf is going on in that place.

I would actually consider California, but 200k for USC versus money at GW isn't much of a choice. I'm on my 3rd review date as of 2/22, but it's been slow going...slowly making my way to the reject pile I'm sure. I think that they do decisions on Mondays and Fridays, so there might be another round this week--they did two DFs in one week a couple times...who knows.

This brings up the USC vs GW(with 100k) argument for me which has my emotional side and desire for CA making me want to take USC even though it is tons riskier. That is on the very slim chance that I actually get accepted.

I thought USC hates splitters?

You got the 106k too? It's tempting, especially with the housing-considering how lazy I am. Looks like you're from CA-if you want to stay in CA, USC's better placement there plus better placement in absolute terms might be better, but I don't know might be a gamble. I might be riding the waitlists at other schools, but I will keep reminding myself it's George Washington University...George Washington University...not Georgetown Waitlist University. Even with lower NLJ250 numbers, I'd be more inclined to keep my debt load as low as possible unless I can crack the top 10. Cornell would be nice though...

Are you talking to me or bk? I don't think I've made my numbers known. Yeah, my friend was high GPA low LSAT, whereas I'm the opposite. Who knows. What's wrong with a good LSAT? Splitter unfriendly schools are the devil --ImageRemoved--

They aren't splitter friendly but they have accepted some extreme splits. They accepted someone with my numbers 2 years ago and waitlisted someone with my numbers last year so there is hope.

What GPA qualifies one as a splitter? I'm below USC's 25th, but by a couple hundredths of a point.

Definitions of splitters vary, and are hotly contested. But for the purposes of USC, if your LSAt is above their 75th, that would arguably make you a splitter.

If you're one of the location agnostic people, take the money and run, I'd say. I'm no expert, but the class rank you'd need for NLJ250 type firms at both schools are probably pretty close, and if you have ties to California you might come back fairly easily compared to someone with no ties. I don't know, man. Medianpwned at GW with 106k scholly is a bad situation, but medianpwned with 200k in the hole at USC seems like it's up shit creek.

Damn, I'm just mediocre. LSAT at the 75th, GPA .05 below the 25th. Pretty cool softs though...shit.

Did you get the special PWL, or just the regular? I think they've accepted a few people off of the waitlist this week, though I know you have reconsidered the idea of GULC at sticker v. GW with $$.

I'm still complete 1/28 at GULC. At this point, in mid-March, I'd be thrilled to get waitlisted.

Regular PWL.

I'm still unsure of GULC at sticker vs GW with 105 considering the GW debt is manageable but GULC would give me a better chance of NYC or CA.

Nope. I still haven't finished that or my NU LOCI/holdessays. I should have them sent by next week.

Darn my procrastination for kicking in now that my cycle has stretched out over half a year.

Are LOCI's also intended to be kind of "Why (x school)" essays too?
