Mizzou ($) vs OSU (~sticker)

I believe I have made my decision...but I really wanted to get the opinion of some other people that have gone through this process.

Ohio State is by far the best law school I have been accepted to in terms of pure ranking. However, between low in-state tuition and scholarship I will basically be able to attend Mizzou for all 3 years for waht OSU will cost me for year 1.

I prefer the St. Louis area, or at least no more than a couple hours. I am not someone that is gunning for a big law job, I have a variety of other interests in cluding public service. Both schools have been really welcoming in any interaction I have had, but Mizzou was over-the top friendly.

So, what I am thinking right now is that Mizzou is probably the better fit for me right now...but there is still that little voice that worries OSU is the better long-term opportunity.

(oh, and 163/3.21...so yeah retake blah blah blah. :P )

Don't need biglaw? In state at MO? Scholly? Want to stay in the area? Go to Mizzou.

OSU is a nice school, but if you wanna stay in the area nothing is wrong with Mizzou. When I applied there last year they were insanely nice, they even sent me a 3 year program for how the finances would pan out after scholarships, gaining in state, etc.

Dont get me wrong, I am not AVOIDING big law. But, I figure the stars have to align so very perfectly at either school that its probably not worth being a deciding factor. I like it here, I have roots in this community. I even have some contact with Mizzou alumn. If I kick butt and finish top 5% hey thats great...but law school is filled with people smarter than me and it seems silly to count on the log shot.
