Duke, Vandy, Wake or S. Carolina to Charleston? Forum

Accepted at the above mentioned schools with full-tuition scholarships to Wake and USC. Still waiting on any possible offers from the others. I'm looking to end up in Charleston if all goes well. Anyone have an idea of which school would give me the best shot of landing a job at a top firm in the area? I'm really just trying to figure out if I need anything higher than USC as they seem to dominate the in-state market.

Edited to include Duke and Vandy scholarships. Also, does anyone know if Duke might match Vandy's scholarship?

This seems like a situation to take the money and run to Columbia. Duke might help you a bit, but there aren't going to be many T14 grads pounding down the doors to work in Charleston. I might investigate and see if Wake has any presence at all in the market, as it would give you more options and you should be able to get to Charleston anyway...and still no debt.

70% of the bar in SC went to USC. COL in Columbia is really low.

Right now this definitely looks like USC, but I would wait and see what Duke and Vandy can offer. If you can get either to give close to a full ride, or at least a large scholarship, those might be worth it.

Edit:
I mean, Duke/Vandy should be well regarded, but I'd still be wary of high costs. Try and get scholarship money is my main point I think.

I'd take Vandy or Duke assuming you're not gonna pay sticker. Might be better to get some regional mobility ITE. The SC market SUCKS.

Not from Charleston, but I've been teaching in the area for the past 3 years
