I think UVA/Michigan has more followers.
More posters but definitely less followers. People generally bash Michigan for it's made up poor OCI performance (that they gleam from autoadmit) and they always talk about how UVA is a "lower" top 14 that has a bunch of students who actually enjoy law school

Not taking a personal stand on it either way, but I think most people's problem with it can be summed up thusly:

It's in Philly.

I have no problem with Philly's location; I just can't stomach being shot at all the time.

Oh I get it, that's why Philadelphia is often referred to as Killadelphia

If someone can make it from Philly to Penn in an hour, I'll pass.

Depend on the mode of transportation. If they have a private jet, they can get to Chicago in an hour.

People who don't live in a metro area just refer to everything there as part of that city. See also "The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim" and people from Arlington who waste breath whining that they're not in Dallas or Fort Worth.

You didn't actually take me serious did you? I must be doing a good job filling in for veyron.

I meant to say the Penn Campus really have nothing in common with Philly anymore, it is insulated from what we natives consider Philly.

Not only do Prius owners have guns, but they use them.

You are not supposed to sneak up for a drive-by, it is a statement maker.

Well, I figured that's a given. I mean, did anyone ever think that Ivy League law students and Philly natives have anything in common?

Penn has strategically encouraged its staff and faculty into buying most of the properties around campus for the last decade or more. Where it used to be West Philly is now Penn territory. The "safe zone" expanded maybe 5-6 blocks outward.

It also pushed a lot of the troubled population westward, into my neighborhood. Penn current student's wouldn't know it, but I have been hanging around the Penn campus for 17 years, it has changed so much. Penn used to be just like Temple.

Haha, I wasn't being serious there either. I was just playing with the idea that (at least currently) there's a huge disparity between Ivy League students and the typical stereotype of a "Philly native".

Carjack property rules state that the car belongs to whoever demonstrates both the intent to possess and actual control of the car.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
