Pretty sure they were trolling and the underlying message is you have a bad shot from any of those schools.

My gut says Fordham. I have a friend who's in the office. He was Fordham and around top 30%. He said that there are lots of T14 grads but also some Fordham. Manhattan is known as the best office in the country and you should expect pretty stiff competition to get in there; prestige is important, i.e. I wouldn't count on getting into the office from either school.

My impression is that Kings and Bronx Counties are pretty decent offices that are less competitive (they tend to do more the street crime).

When I was on a tour a few days ago, one of the students there (I heard he's a 'top' student) said he had an internship with the us attorney's office. Is that easier than the manhattan da?

No. much more difficult to get. No USAO in the area hires straight out of law school. An internship will not lead to an offer.
