Ranking of states (and PR) with the highest number of law schools per 500,000 people

Wyoming = 0.89
New Jersey = 0.17
Mean = 0.37
Median = 0.35

Why not break down total # of law school graduates state by state. If you've got two states with 2,000,000 people and one law school in each, having one law school graduate 150 and another graduate 500 is going to make a pretty big difference.

This is not really informative at all. The DC market is much healthier than the AZ or NV or SC markets, for instance. The markets ranking last (IL, NY, MA, DC) have much very high demand for lawyers relative to their populations.
