Outside of the top 14, would anyone take sticker anywhere over the 120K at Indiana? I'm very flexible in where I go, I grew up as an army brat and don't really have ties anywhere. What would you need to see from the below schools to to make it a close decision:
ND:
UCLA:
USC:
UC Davis:
Washington:
Emory:
GW:
BU:
BC:
Fordham:
ASU:
Colorado:
Utah:
San Diego:

At this point it really depends where you want to go. e.g. I would take sticker at UCLA if I knew I wanted to work in CA.

Only UCLA or Texas if they were target markets for you.

Also,
Which schools would an ~50% scholarship do the trick?

Any well respected tier one law school in your target market should be considered with a 50% scholarship in my opinion. Especially so because an Indiana law degree may not travel very far beyond its Midwest region.

So it sounds like, Vandy, Texas, UCLA may be worth sticker still, and anything more than half should be considered from the USC-BC group of schools.

It all depends on where you want to work, along with your scholarship offers from other schools in said regions. If you want to work in Chicago, for instance, a full ride at Indiana would be smarter than $ at Notre Dame.

These are all regional schools. No one can tell you where to live and practice after graduation.

Thanks,
The thoughts on ND vs the Indiana offer are helpful, though I'm hoping they let me in with something.
I realize location is key, but that much money vs.sticker options anywhere would be tough to swallow,
Georgetown I think I would just have to swallow if I was lucky enough to get in off the WL,
but sticker (if I get in) at a USC, UCLA or GW, I don't know
and I really can't see going for less than half to Emory, ND, BU, BC, W&M, Fordham.
Not sure what I would need to see from the rest of my schools UC-Davis, ASU, Washington, CO, and USD.
I feel like Indiana is in the mix for Chicago under NU, Chicago, and the rest of the T-14 and probably places strongly in the smaller midwestern markets (Cleveland, Cinncinati, Indianapolis, St.Louis, Louisville).
Also with decent undergrad connections in SoCal from the better of the big 2 undergrads down here, while I know it would be hard, I think I'd have a better shot than most at getting back out here (though I am kind of over SoCal, or more precisly the cost of living in Orange County).

Indiana only sent 12 students of its class of 2009 to Chicago (in all forms of employment) and 15 total to Illinois. Do not attend Indiana with the intention to go to Chicago.
Other than that, IUB is a really good school. Do you want to practice in Indiana? If not, consider other law schools. No one can make the decision for you, but look at where students from each of these schools traditionally go.
My personal opinion is that if you don't get into say a T18, you should definitely consider going to school in a major metropolitan area (or the suburbs of that area). I think many people who don't get into the elite schools overlook the opportunity of working in legal placements during the academic year.

BUMP
Anymore thoughts on this? I'm on the same boat. The 120k is hard to turn down.

Just took a look at their emplyment stats. A little lower than expected for Chicago, but higher than expected for NY, DC, and CA. Between the four locations there were 38/171 and overall 55% outside of Indiana. Though the 43/171 speaks to the draw of Indianapolis.
A little suprised by the 2/171 in Ohio (though this could just be a Big 10 rivalry thing, Ohio St places under 3% in Indiana)

In the same boat, trying to decide between sticker at GW or 120k at Indiana. Currently living in the DC area and love it here and I want to live/practice here after law school, but my wife is from Indiana and it would be great to not graduate with a huge debt.
I know GW places better regionally, but would it be $120k better?

I would take USC/UCLA/Texas sticker over Indiana.
Maybe consider GW:
Indiana prob places 10% of its class in biglaw. GW prob 20%. If you go to Indiana you will prob have 40-50k worth of loans even at full cost. GW will be more like 200k.
The new federal gov program limits your payments to 20 years or 10 if you work for a non profit. Due to MOST law jobs either paying 30k or 100+, chances are if you miss the biglaw/biggov/midlaw boat at Indiana, you will likely be paying back your loans for 10-20 years. The good news is that the fed gov also set a cap of no more than 10% of your income can go to student loans. The only way you would be able to pay back the loans before the 10 or 20 year limit is if you get biglaw/biggov/midlaw. Since GW provides you with the same loss potential, but gives you a higher chance of success, you might want to consider GW.

When you consider the COL in DC, GW at sticker is borderline insane.
