To summarize every thread about UCI:
Pro: Nice scholarships now
At least 6/60 people got bigfirm offers (gotta admit, 10% is pretty damn impressive for an unaccredited 4th tier school)
Anti: There are already too many law schools
Its the Touro or NYLS of CA (behind Stan/Berk/UCLA/USC/UCD/UCH (#8 in the state)).

What does that person do?

But to borrow a phrase from Xo, 10% from a school claiming to be top 20 is shit, PURE SHIT.

especially considering that those students could have went to UCLA/USC/Berkeley and gotten 20-40% odds...

what happens when they can't lure them away from those school with $$

2-5%?

How does this work? Are biglaw firms looking at LSAT scores when interviewing the top 10% of the class at UCI? What's the difference between "top 10% could have gone to UCLA" and "top 10% couldn't have gone to UCLA" to a firm interviewing you?

Yeah, but who's going to take you seriously when you're like "don't go here, it's a terrible career decision", but then we find out you went somewhere WORSE?

+1 to rad law, it should take about 9 seconds to pick this article to pieces on the merits of the content. No need to bring in ulterior motives.

Meh. There are a lot of reasons to hate on UCI, but it's suspicious how most of the whining is coming from the TTT camp.

Sure they have the most to gain by convincing people the school is TTT, but that doesn't mean their gripes are not legitimate. If an claim has no merit, then refute it for it's lack of merit, an ad hom doesn't really help anyone.

That said, this blog is lulzy stupid.

The rant just has less credibility when the person writing it attended a school that is clearly TTT, attacking a school that is not clearly T-anything yet until we know more. I still don't understand why he found the need to attack UCI of all places. What about the plethora of bottom-feeding T4 schools that charge as much (if not more) in tuition that T-14's? Just doesn't make sense that this attack is anything other than personal animosity toward UCI. Maybe his ex got in and dumped him to relocate to Irvine...

The animosity is because they are opening a new school when there is no need for one.

Ya it does, and if you can't see why it does then I can't help you.

HTH

Also I agree with delBarco, that blog is boring.

This. Again.

And the "we're clearly a T-[n] school" bit, where n is a number less than 25.
